A couple of weeks ago, while suffering from the heat in Milan, I decided to purchase tickets to come visit clovis_t in Edinburgh. I had much fun at the short course--unlike some of the geology conferences I attended, this time I actually *spoke* to some of the other geologists. And I enjoyed doing so. As some of you know, just over 22 months ago I realized that I wasn't doing a very good job at keeping up with reading geologic literature, so set myself the goal of reading 1000 words a day, every day.
